We are working alongside an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school based in an affluent area of Barking & Dagenham, there are currently recruiting for a full time Science Teacher to join them. The successful applicant will be part of a department that has performed consistently above national average in all examinations delivered. The department thrives on good humour and teamwork, delivering a knowledge rich curriculum in well-resourced classrooms with a student centred philosophy.

The successful applicant will be part of a team that has a variety of specialised teachers, all offering support and guidance to each other, which creates a positive and hardworking ethos. They are eager to access the most up to date research and always go above and beyond to ensure all students meet their potential.

Applicants are required to be driven, motivated and enthusiastic to deliver Science up to KS4.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and engaging Science Teacher to join the Science Faculty, the school is built and prides itself on its strong foundations of discipline and moral purpose. This full time Science Teacher role is a great opportunity to spend less time doing paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for children with varied complex needs. Science Teachers applying should be committed and professional who have a real passion for science and enthusiasm to work with brilliant young minds.

About you:

  • QTS – Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experienced of Teaching Science up to KS4, experience of teaching up to KS5 is desirable however, not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and reading comprehension.
  • Passion for Teaching & Student educational development
  • Open to Continuous Professional Development
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Science curriculum and assessment requirements.
