Science Teacher

If you enjoy teaching Science in an environment where curiosity is encouraged and lessons are allowed to run properly, this role could be a strong fit.

This Morpeth secondary school values Science as a core subject. Practical work is well planned, safety expectations are clear, and behaviour systems allow lessons to run smoothly without constant disruption. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and engage with scientific concepts rather than rush through content.

You’ll teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics depending on experience and departmental need. Resources are shared and planning is collaborative, reducing workload and supporting consistency.

The department works closely together, and leadership understands the practical demands of Science teaching. You’ll be supported to focus on delivering high-quality lessons rather than managing chaos.
