Science Teacher

£163–£263 per day

If you enjoy bringing Science to life and helping students make sense of the world around them, this could be a great fit.

We’re looking for a Science specialist to teach in a secondary school where the subject is well resourced, thoughtfully planned and supported by a collaborative department. Lessons are purposeful, practical work is well managed, and students are encouraged to ask questions and think scientifically.

The role

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities in Biology, Chemistry or Physics

  • Delivering engaging, knowledge-rich lessons that build curiosity and confidence

  • Supporting students with practical skills, scientific thinking and exam preparation

  • Working as part of a department that shares ideas, resources and support

The school environment

This is a school where behaviour systems are consistent and expectations are clear, allowing Science lessons to run smoothly and safely. Leadership understands the demands of practical subjects and ensures staff have the support they need.

Who this suits

  • Qualified Science teachers or strong subject specialists

  • Teachers who enjoy practical learning in structured environments

  • Anyone who wants to focus on teaching rather than managing constant behaviour issues
