Science Teacher

We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teachers to deliver Science lessons to students in local schools across the Teesside area. The successful candidate will be passionate about science and committed to delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5. You will play a key role in shaping students’ understanding of scientific concepts, encouraging them to explore and question the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons to students aged 11-16, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as required.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and independent thinking.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing feedback and support to help each student reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, positive space for learning.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, and staff meetings.
- Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, including Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is a plus).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in the field of Science.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to differentiate teaching methods to cater to a variety of learning needs and abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with the wider teaching team.
