Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through tests, assignments, and examinations
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall curriculum and learning environment
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the UK national curriculum for Science
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Previous experience teaching Science at the secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science education
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Science-related field
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
