We currently have a Secondary School in Dudley looking for a Science specialist. Applications from ECT's are welcomed.

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive science lessons to students across different year groups.

You will teach key concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics, helping students develop a solid foundation in scientific principles.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students' curiosity, facilitate hands-on experiments, and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Additionally, you will be responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall science curriculum.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons to students aged 11 to 16

Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes active student engagement

Foster a passion for science by using innovative teaching methods and resources

Support and guide students in their scientific investigations and experiments

Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and assessment

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the science curriculum

Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and overall performance

 

Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification in UK 

Proven experience teaching science at the secondary school level

Experience of the UK National Curriculum

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment

Dedication to student achievement and personal development

Familiarity with current educational technology and resources

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
