Secondary schools across the North East are actively recruiting Science Graduate Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for science graduates looking to gain paid, school-based experience before progressing into teacher training or education-related careers.
In this role, you will work closely with Science teachers to support lessons, assist with practical experiments, and help pupils develop confidence in key scientific concepts.
Key Responsibilities for a Science Graduate TA:

Supporting Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

Assisting with practical experiments, demonstrations, and classroom activities

Providing small-group and one-to-one academic support

Supporting intervention sessions, revision lessons, and exam preparation

Working collaboratively with Science teachers and department staff
Requirements for a Science Graduate TA:

A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related Science subject

Previous experience with young people is beneficial but not essential

A strong interest in Science education, teaching, or working in schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
