As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support Science lessons, assist with practical activities, and help pupils engage with scientific concepts under the guidance of teaching staff.
Secondary schools across the North East are recruiting a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stages 3 and 4. This Science Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for graduates with a science-based degree who are interested in gaining school-based experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assisting with practical experiments and classroom activities
- Working with small groups or individuals on scientific understanding
- Supporting intervention sessions and revision activities
- Working collaboratively with Science department staff
Requirements:
- A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related science
- Experience working with young people is preferred but not essential
- An interest in science education or progression into teaching
