Science Graduate – Classroom Support & STEM Assistant
Location: Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne
Daily Pay: £90–£110
Protocol Education is working with a busy secondary school in Gosforth to appoint a Science Graduate to support STEM teaching and learning across Key Stages 3–5.
The school promotes enquiry-based learning and practical science experiences, providing students with opportunities to develop both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills. It has excellent transport links to Newcastle and beyond.
Your role will include:

Supporting science lessons and practical activities

Helping students consolidate key concepts from Biology, Chemistry or Physics

Assisting teaching staff with preparation of classroom resources

Supporting students with revision and exam preparation sessions

Encouraging engagement with STEM subjects and fostering scientific curiosity
We are seeking candidates who:

Hold a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science or a related area

Have enthusiasm for supporting young learners
-
Are good communicators, organised and adaptable

Are interested in further study or careers in education or science outreach
This position provides valuable experience for aspiring teachers or those wishing to work in science education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
