We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to support a thriving department that values creativity, innovation, and practical learning.
As a Food Technology Technician, you will support lessons, maintain a safe and well-equipped learning environment, and ensure students and staff have the resources they need for high-quality teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and organise ingredients, materials, and equipment for practical lessons.
Assist in lessons and demonstrations, supporting student learning safely.
Ensure Health and Safety protocols are followed, including regular equipment checks.
Monitor stock levels, process orders, and manage deliveries.
Maintain clean, safe, and functional food technology classrooms.
Support practical assessments and examinations.
Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and facilities.
Person Specification:
Excellent communication, organisational, and ICT skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations or willingness to learn.
Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
Experience as a technician in a school or similar environment desirable.
Passion for education, food technology, and supporting student success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
