School Receptionist – Secondary School

A welcoming and well-run secondary school is looking for an experienced School Receptionist to join their front office team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is a key role at the heart of the school, perfect for someone who’s calm under pressure, highly organised, and confident working in a busy secondary school environment.

The role

You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, keeping the school day running smoothly from the front desk. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the main reception and welcoming visitors

  • Handling phone calls, emails, and day-to-day enquiries

  • Using Bromcom for attendance, pupil records, and admin tasks

  • Supporting safeguarding and sign-in procedures

  • Providing general administrative support to the school office team

What we’re looking for

To hit the ground running, you must have:

  • Previous experience working as a school receptionist

  • Confident, working knowledge of Bromcom

  • Experience in a secondary school setting

  • A professional, friendly manner and strong communication skills

  • The ability to stay organised in a fast-paced environment
