School Receptionist – Birmingham

Pay: £90 – £110 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time / Long-term
Start Date: January 2026 or ASAP

Be the friendly first face that keeps the school running smoothly.

We’re looking for a School Receptionist to join a busy and welcoming school in Birmingham. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who’s organised, approachable, and loves being at the heart of a thriving school community.

The Role

As the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, you’ll make everyone feel welcome and supported. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting visitors and handling calls and emails with warmth and professionalism

  • Managing attendance records and daily registers

  • Supporting with general admin tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence

  • Liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies

  • Ensuring safeguarding and visitor policies are followed at all times

You’ll play a key role in keeping things running efficiently — no two days will be the same, and your positivity will make all the difference.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, admin, or customer-facing role (school experience ideal but not essential)

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and SIMS or other school systems (training can be provided)

  • A calm, friendly, and professional manner

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask

If you enjoy helping people and keeping busy in a role where every day counts, this is a great fit.
