Job Title: School Finance Manager
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Term time only, plus 3 additional weeks (to be agreed)

We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated School Finance Manager to join a dedicated support staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled finance professional who brings strong organisational ability, sound judgement, and a practical, solution-focused approach.
The role
You will take lead responsibility for the effective administration and management of financial systems and procedures. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll support the planning, monitoring, and control of the school budget, helping to ensure financial stability, best value, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing financial systems, budgets, and reporting processes
- Supporting strategic financial planning and budget monitoring
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and procedures
- Providing accurate financial advice and information to senior leaders
- Contributing to long-term financial sustainability and value for money
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in finance, accounting, and budget management
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Excellent ICT skills, with experience of School Management Information Systems desirable
- A proactive, reliable, and organised approach
- Ability to work strategically while managing day-to-day financial operations
An accountancy qualification, DSBM, or equivalent professional qualification is desirable. Experience leading on commercial activities or project-based financial management would be an advantage.
