We’re working closely with a number of secondary schools across Wakefield who are looking for Cover Supervisors and Classroom Practitioners to support with day-to-day supply. Whether you’re building experience, returning to education, or prefer the variety that supply brings, there’s plenty of opportunity to get stuck in.
What you’ll be doing

Supervising classes during teacher absence using pre-set lesson plans

Maintaining a positive, well-managed classroom environment

Supporting students to stay engaged and on task

Working across different subjects and year groups, no planning required

Being a calm, reliable presence in busy school settings
What we’re looking for

Experience working with young people, in schools or similar settings

Confidence managing a classroom and building quick rapport

A flexible, reliable approach to daily supply work

A genuine interest in supporting secondary-aged students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
