Religious Education Teacher – Sunderland

What you’ll be doing as a RE Teacher

You’ll teach RE across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that spark discussion, encourage curiosity and promote empathy. The school values strong relationships, clear routines and an inclusive approach to learning.

Your responsibilities as a RE Teacher

  • Teaching engaging RE lessons that explore world beliefs, ethics and philosophical ideas
  • Creating a respectful classroom where discussion feels safe and purposeful
  • Tracking progress and adapting teaching to individual needs
  • Working with your department to share resources and ideas
  • Providing clear, supportive feedback to pupils

You’ll be a great fit as a RE Teacher if you have

  • QTS with a specialism in RE, Humanities or similar
  • Confidence leading discussion and sensitive topics
  • A warm, structured teaching style
  • Strong communication and behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
