RE Teacher / Religious Education Teacher

County Durham

A County Durham  Secondary School is recruiting for a RE  Teacher to work from September 2024 until the end of the academic year. This is a full-time role and there is a high probability that role will be made permanent for the right candidate.

The School

The school is located within easy access of the A19. It is easily commutable  from Sunderland and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an OFSTED graded Good School.

The Role

You will join a small but supportive department. You will work closely with the head of RE to deliver Religious Education to KS3.  Dependent on experience and desire to, you may also teach KS4.

This role is suitable for both experienced RE Teachers and ECTs. The school is willing to consider applications from non-specialists if they can demonstrate they have experience teaching some elements of RE.

Requirements for the role:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent
  • Have experience of teaching RE
  • Have or be willing to apply for a DBS
