Qualified Teaching Assistant – Secondary & Sixth Form Support

Location: Peterlee, County Durham
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start: ASAP
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Are you a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who thrives in settings where relationships matter as much as learning outcomes? We’re recruiting someone with passion and dedication to support pupils across secondary and sixth form phases.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils throughout lessons to access learning

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver personalised support

  • Adapting learning resources to meet individual needs

  • Supporting independence and life skills development

  • Working with teachers and support staff to implement EHCP targets

We’re looking for

  • Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)

  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, ideally Autism and complex needs

  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills

  • A calm, positive and reflective approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
