Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to students
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through various assessment methods
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student's academic and personal growth
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Religious Education or related field
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Religious Education or related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of religious teachings, traditions, and practises
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Experience in leading extracurricular religious activities
Working Conditions:
This role is based in a secondary school setting in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The teacher will work full-time hours during school term times, with additional responsibilities such as parent meetings and extracurricular activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
