Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Humanities or related field
  • Specialism in History, Geography, or Religious Education

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Humanities or related subject
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent

Experience:

  • Proven experience teaching History, Geography, or Religious Education at the secondary level
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and motivate students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Humanities subjects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in Education or subject-specific areas
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular hours during the school term
  • Classroom-based teaching with some additional responsibilities such as marking and planning
