Pay: £163 to £263 per day
Start: ASAP or after half term
Contract: Long term, short term, temp to perm or flexible supply
If you love helping young people understand how humans think, feel and behave, this Psychology role in Longbenton could be the ideal next move for you. The schools we work with are looking for a Psychology specialist who can bring calm, clarity and a bit of spark to lessons that students genuinely find fascinating.
Psychology here is a popular subject. Pupils are curious, motivated and enjoy getting stuck into real-life case studies, ethical questions, cognitive theories and debates about behaviour and brain function. You’ll be joining supportive departments where teachers share resources, communicate well and like to keep things structured without losing the fun.
What you’ll be doing:
• Teaching Psychology at KS4 and potentially KS5, depending on the school
• Delivering engaging lessons that make theories accessible and relatable
• Helping students develop critical thinking, evaluation and analytical writing
• Guiding exam groups through structured revision, practice papers and model answers
• Using consistent routines that make the classroom feel predictable and calm
• Working closely with staff who value teamwork, wellbeing and good communication
What you’ll bring:
• QTS or QTLS
• Strong Psychology subject knowledge and a genuine passion for it
• A clear, thoughtful teaching style that builds confidence
• Strong behaviour management delivered with warmth and fairness
• The ability to make complex ideas feel simple without losing depth
