Are you a Psychology graduate looking to use your knowledge in a real-world setting? This Sunderland secondary school is looking for someone who’s curious, calm and great at understanding behaviour. You’ll support pupils with anxiety, social difficulties and emotional regulation, helping them build confidence day by day.
What you’ll be doing:
• 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
• Using your psychology background to understand triggers and behaviour patterns
• Helping pupils develop coping strategies and positive routines
• Working alongside SEN staff and behaviour leads
Ideal for:
• Psychology graduates
• Future teachers, educational psychologists or therapists
You’ll need:
• A calm, patient approach
• Willingness to learn trauma-informed and de-escalation strategies
• Driving is an advantage for multi-site work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
