Protocol Education are currently looking for Psychology students or graduates who are interested in working with children with additional needs. This is a perfect way to gain experience with children for those looking to go on to be an education psychologist or other similar roles.
What is the role?
We work with schools in and around Swindon to provide support staff for children and we currently have roles such as general classroom Teaching Assistant and 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 SEND support assistant. The children have a range of diverse needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and physical disabilities.
Why Psychology students/graduates?
Having achieved or studying towards a psychology degree means that you not only have an interest but also a knowledge of these diverse needs and ways to support them. You do not have to have any experience working in this field and we are happy to discuss the transferable skills that you may have from other areas.
Which school will I be at?
We have schools across Swindon and the surrounding areas who are looking for staff. The schools will be welcoming and have both a varied curriculum and a team of dedicated staff who will be there to support you in this role.
What are the hours?
Hours are generally 8:30-3:30 however we currently have flexible, part-time work as well as full-time and long-term roles so the hours can fit around you!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
