Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people and understanding behaviour?
A forward-thinking secondary school in the Barking & Dagenham area is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

About the Role

As a Psychology Graduate TA, you will:

  • Support students across KS3–KS4, with a focus on those with additional learning, emotional, or behavioural needs

  • Work closely with the SENCo, pastoral team, and class teachers to implement support strategies

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions (e.g., emotional regulation, social skills, confidence building)

  • Help create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes positive learning behaviours

  • Gain valuable experience—ideal for careers in educational psychology, SEN, or teacher training

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree in Psychology (or closely related field)

  • Is passionate about child development, mental health, and supporting diverse learners

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Is empathetic, patient, and proactive

  • Can commit to a full-time role during term-time

  • Ideally has experience working with young people or SEN (not essential)
