About this role:

Protocol Education is currently recruiting Psychology graduates to take on the role of Learning Support Assistant across schools in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. This role would be a good fit for graduates who wish to gain more experience in schools or work alongside your degree to gain an understanding of an education-based role.

This role will require you to be based in a classroom setting. You will also be required to work with children on a one-to-one or small group bases. Candidates need to be empathetic individuals who have a passion for aiding the educational development of SEND children. Learning support assistants are also responsible for managing behaviour to ensure the classroom is a safe and enjoyable learning environment.  

Candidates should:

  • Be a Psychology graduate.
  • Ideally have experience working with SEND children.
  • Be a trustworthy and patient.
  • Have the Right to work in the UK.  
  • Have or would be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
