Psychology Graduate Behaviour Support Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Peterlee
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
This Behaviour Support Assistant role is designed for psychology graduates who want to work closely with pupils presenting social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
You will support pupils who need consistent adult guidance to manage behaviour, develop emotional regulation skills and re-engage with learning.
The role includes:
• Providing targeted behaviour support throughout the school day
• Supporting pupils during emotionally challenging moments
• Helping pupils develop coping strategies and emotional awareness
• Supporting learning engagement in and out of the classroom
• Working alongside teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams
Ideal candidates will:
• Have a background in psychology or a related discipline
• Be confident working with challenging behaviour
• Be patient, calm and consistent in their approach
• Be committed to supporting pupils’ long-term progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
