If you’re a Psychology Graduate in Leeds seeking meaningful, hands-on experience in education, this could be the perfect next step. We’re recruiting graduates to work in SEMH schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), and alternative provision settings across Leeds and nearby areas.

Pay: £90–£118 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Leeds and surrounding areas
Start: Immediate and ongoing roles available

Why This Role is Ideal for Psychology Graduates

This isn’t a standard classroom position. You’ll be supporting young people who require patience, structure, and someone who truly understands behaviour, emotions, and relationships.

You’ll see psychological theory come to life as you:

  • Support pupils with SEMH and additional needs
  • Help young people re-engage with education
  • Build trust, routines, and confidence
  • Gain experience that strengthens future PGCE, Master’s, or Assistant Psychologist applications

No two days are the same, and every small breakthrough really matters.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us

  • Many roles lead to long-term or permanent positions
  • A brilliant stepping stone into teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or mental health careers
  • Hands-on experience schools and universities genuinely value
  • Support from a local Leeds-based consultant who knows education inside out

We’re Looking for Graduates Who Are

  • Based in or able to travel in and around Leeds
  • Calm, empathetic, and resilient
  • Confident in building positive relationships with young people
  • Adaptable and eager to learn on the job

Experience That’s a Bonus (but Not Essential)

  • Psychology, Criminology, or related degrees
  • Youth work, mentoring, care, or residential support
  • SEMH, SEND, or PRU experience
  • Tutoring in English, Maths, or Science
  • Drama, sport, or creative activities
  • Behaviour support or Team Teach training, or willingness to train

New to education? That’s absolutely fine. Attitude, empathy, and commitment matter most — we’ll support the rest.
