PRU Behaviour Support Assistant – South Tyneside

Pay: £89 to £110 per day

Contract: Full-time, long-term

We’re supporting a pupil referral setting in South Tyneside that works with young people who’ve had a tough time in mainstream. The team focuses on safety, respect and restorative relationships. Learning comes after trust, and trust comes from calm, steady adults who don’t take things personally.

What your day may look like:
• Supporting young people 1:1 and in small groups
• Helping them regulate emotions and rebuild routines
• Modelling calm, consistent behaviour no matter the situation
• Using restorative conversations to repair relationships
• Celebrating progress, even when it’s tiny

You’ll shine if you:
• Have experience in SEMH, youth work, mentoring or behaviour settings
• Stay grounded when things get challenging
• Believe young people deserve second, third and fourth chances
• Build trust with humour, patience and real understanding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
