Protocol Education are proud to be working with an ofsted rated "OUTSTANDING" primary school based in Enfield. The Headteacher of this amazing primary school is looking to onboard an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to support a student in KS2 with SEMH.

An ideal candidate will need to have previous experience in supporting students with social emotional and mental health needs and also be able to observe and report their performance with the line manager and parents.

This role will also include personal care and will need someone that is either open or experienced to doing this in the past.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you will be required:

  • To provide assistance to Teacher within the school.
  • To be responsible for the safety of children by exercising adequate support and supervision.
  • To establish with the staff team appropriately high levels of expectation by setting down clear guidance for pupils for establishing high standards of behaviour and achievement within school.
  • To Attending meetings as required to discuss children on an individual basis and contribute towards establishing a unified and consistent approach throughout the school. This may include attending staff meetings on occasions and may also include contributing to a pupil’s Annual Review in either written or verbal form.
  • To Participate fully in the daily observation and recording of pupils’ behaviour and progress in the appropriate manner and to give feedback to teachers and other staff teams where appropriate.
  • To assist in the professional development of colleagues and self by involvement in relevant aspects of the school’s Staff Support and Development Programme.
  • To ensure that the advanced skills in behaviour management are constantly revisited so that staff are able to work individually with pupils who exhibit high levels of disturbance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
