We are working directly with a warm, community-focused primary school in Gateshead that has a KS1 classroom fully prepared and ready now. The school is seeking a Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) to join their team on a long-term basis, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract.
This school is well known locally for its nurturing approach, clear routines, and strong relationships between staff, pupils, and parents. Experienced teaching assistants are already in place, and leadership is highly supportive.
The Role:

Full teaching responsibility for a KS1 class

Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
-
Using assessment effectively to track progress and support individual needs
-
Creating a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
-
Working closely with teaching assistants and the KS1 phase leader

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

KS1 teaching experience (including long-term or supply roles)
