Our story:

The Bridge Trust is a unique Multi Academy Trust which consists of five special schools, one primary school, a Training & Development Service and an Outreach Service. We are an ambitious family of schools that embraces the individuality of everyone – children and adults.

The Bridge School is part of the family of schools of The Bridge MAT and has been recognised as outstanding in its last three inspections. We are a PBS school - Our staff have developed some fantastic practices and we are continually striving to further develop the learning opportunities we provide for our pupils. Pupils in The Bridge School have severe learning difficulties and many have autism. Every child and young person is an individual and we work hard to tailor our curriculum to meet their needs.

We are recruiting for:

  • A Teacher to work in our alternative education provision. You will be teaching students who have emotional and behavioural difficulties, in small groups. The work is intensive requiring flexibility, sensitivity, patience and resilience. An ability to work with and engage all students with creativity and passion towards the subject is essential.
  • You will be part of a small but effective team where communication and professionalism are paramount. The work, whilst challenging, is extremely rewarding. Primarily you will be required to teach, produce schemes of work and lesson plans. Building rapport with students/families/carers is key to this role and you will need to liaise with a variety of agencies to problem-solve student issues and barriers to learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
