Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum for KS1.
  • Student Assessment: Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to help each child reach their potential.
  • Inclusive Teaching: Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
  • Parental Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Policy Implementation: Implement and uphold the school's policies and procedures, including those related to behavior management and safeguarding.
  • Professional Participation: Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • School Contribution: Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in KS1.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Commitment: Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Subject Specialism: Expertise in a particular subject area (e.g., phonics, literacy, numeracy).
  • SEN Experience: Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with educational technology and its application in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
