We are recruiting a Primary Teacher to work within a specialist alternative education setting in Gateshead. The role focuses on delivering engaging, nurturing lessons while supporting pupils’ emotional development and re-engagement with learning.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver creative, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.

Support pupils with SEMH needs.

Establish consistent routines and positive behaviour expectations.

Monitor progress and celebrate pupil achievements.

Work collaboratively with support staff and families.
Skills & Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Experience supporting SEMH or vulnerable pupils is desirable.

Patient, nurturing and adaptable teaching style.

Strong commitment to inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
