Job Duties

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to primary school students in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive discipline.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create and implement lesson plans, ensuring they align with the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working as a primary school teacher.
  • Excellent knowledge of the primary school curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching environments.

Education

A recognised teaching qualification.

Experience

Prior experience working as a primary school teacher.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of the primary school curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certifications or training in specific subject areas.
  • Experience working as a supply teacher.
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) students.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time contract position, expected to work on a daily basis. The working hours may vary depending on the school's requirements. The role involves working within a primary school setting, providing education and support to students. The teacher will be required to adhere to the policies and procedures of the school and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
