About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school in Sunderland. This role would suit an enthusiastic educator who’s passionate about creating engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire a love of learning.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering creative, well-structured lessons, supporting pupils’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing, and contributing to the positive ethos of the school community. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or recently qualified, you’ll be supported to make a real impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum

Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel valued

Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet diverse needs

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote pupil development

Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning

A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to contribute to wider school life

Experience with SEND or inclusion strategies would be an advantage
