Primary SEN Teacher – Inclusive Provision (Sunderland)

Pay: £120–£220 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

We are seeking a Primary SEN Teacher to join an inclusive education setting supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
This role focuses on delivering engaging, accessible lessons for children who benefit from structure, routine and a nurturing approach. Pupils may present with SEND, SEMH or developmental needs and require tailored teaching to support both learning and emotional development.
You will work with small class sizes and a strong support team to create a calm, positive learning environment.
Key responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering differentiated primary lessons
• Supporting pupils’ academic, emotional and social development
• Creating predictable routines and a nurturing classroom environment
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff
• Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
This role is ideal for someone who:
• Holds QTS
• Has experience teaching primary-aged pupils with SEND
• Is patient, creative and adaptable
• Values relationship-based teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
