Behaviour Support Mentors- Sheffield Based Schools 

We require two flexible and motivated SEND Teaching Assistants for our Sheffield Primary Schools. You will be working with children with special educational needs and must have successful experience of supporting children around communication and behaviour.

You will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and Senior Leaders, to provide outstanding support to students coming into the school who will have a range of needs including Autistism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and Speech and Language Barriers.

Any previous experience with interventions in this area or supporting with PECS or Makaton would be a distinct advantage as would any experience of supporting students with SEND and working within an educational settying.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, have effective communication skills, the ability to adapt learning tasks, and a willingness to become involved in professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
