We are currently recruiting for a PMLD support worker to work in a Special Needs school supporting young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties in an education setting.

The Role:

You will be working with children aged between 4 - 18, each with Education and Healthcare Plans. Most of the children you will be working with have very limited communication skills, and some are completely non-verbal. You will be assisting more than one class, supporting several children across the school and will also be required to work 1:1. You will work full time on a long term basis.

What we need from you:

• Experience of supporting with Personal Care 
• Experience of feeding
• Moving and Handling experience
• Previous support work within a school or other child related experience (preferred)
• Strong behaviour management and confident with behaviour that challenges. 
• Happy to work one to one
• An enthusiastic and friendly approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
