Protocol Education is an official Tuition Partner for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) which aims to make high-quality tutoring available to schools to reduce the impact that closures and lockdowns had on children’s education because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Millions of children missed two years’ worth of quality face-to-face teaching and Government support has been put in place. We need your help as a Physics NTP Tutor to get pupils affected by the pandemic back on track!

Subsequently, secondary schools within the Sunderland area are urgently seeking Physics Teachers and experienced Physics Tutors who can help assist students with their studies.

This is a perfect opportunity for those looking to start a career within the education sector and gather valuable experience within schools. Candidates would be responsible for working with small groups of learners and potentially on a 1:1 basis with some children.

The candidate should also be familiar with the National Curriculum as the tutoring would complement regular classroom study. Relevant experience of working with children; particularly those with SEN needs is also preferred.

This is a flexible role with opportunities to combine work with other commitments such as academic study and childcare.

Successful applicants must also hold the relevant certifications to practice within this role and will also have a DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo relevant DBS checks. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
