We’re working with a friendly, well-run secondary school in Wakefield that’s looking for a committed Physical Education Teacher to join their team from January. There’s no end date attached, they’re looking for consistency and someone who can become a real presence in the department and the wider school community.
This is a school that understands the value of PE, not just for physical health, but for confidence, teamwork, and giving pupils a place to thrive. The department is supportive, organised, and passionate about giving students positive experiences of sport and physical activity.
What you’ll be doing

Teaching Physical Education across KS3 and KS4

Delivering engaging, inclusive PE lessons that pupils actually enjoy

Promoting teamwork, resilience, and healthy habits

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative PE department

Encouraging participation and positive behaviour through sport
What we’re looking for
-
Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
-
Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
-
Confident classroom and behaviour management
-
A positive, energetic approach with high expectations
-
ECTs are welcome, with support in place

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
