Physical Education (PE) Teacher

The role

A well-regarded secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a PE Teacher to join its department. The role includes teaching across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available for experienced candidates.

The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver high-quality practical and theory-based PE lessons, promote participation and teamwork, and support pupils in achieving strong GCSE and A-Level outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE (and A-Level where applicable)

• Support extracurricular sport and enrichment activities

• Assess, monitor and track student progress

The ideal candidate

• QTS (or equivalent)

• Experience teaching PE at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge in both practical and theory components

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
