PE Teacher

Location: Shrewsbury
Job Type: Supply Teaching
Industry: Secondary Teacher
Reference: peteach
Salary: £140 - 200 per day
Job Published: over 1 year ago

We’re working with a lively secondary school in Telford that’s all about sport, teamwork, and helping every student find their stride. From day one, you’ll be part of a school where pupils love getting stuck in, behaviour is strong, and teachers are trusted to do what they do best — teach.

This isn’t just another PE job. It’s your chance to build confidence, nurture resilience, and help young people realise what they’re capable of — on and off the pitch.

What’s on offer

  • A permanent PE teaching role starting September 2025

  • Engaged students who love a challenge and thrive on teamwork

  • A supportive department with collaborative planning (and minimal paperwork)

  • Leadership that values wellbeing as much as results

  • Career development opportunities within a growing Multi-Academy Trust

Who they’re looking for

You’re a confident PE teacher (or an ECT ready to make an impact) who knows how to get the best out of students — whether that’s smashing a 100m sprint, building team spirit on the field, or helping pupils set personal bests in the gym.

You bring energy, high standards, and the kind of positivity that makes every lesson count. Bonus points if you’ve got ideas for after-school clubs, fixtures, or creative ways to make fitness fun for life.

You’ll need

  • UK QTS (or equivalent)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for PE

  • A commitment to high-quality, engaging teaching

  • A willingness to grow — and maybe lead your own team down the line
