The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will play a key role in inspiring students to lead healthy, active lifestyles.

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Teach a range of sports including netball, football, athletics, gymnastics, and swimming.

  • Deliver academic PE (GCSE and A-Level/BTEC) with a focus on raising attainment.

  • Lead and assist with extra-curricular clubs, fixtures, and school trips.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety within the department.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.

  • Has a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related subject.

  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for sports.

  • Is proactive, resilient, and a strong team player.

  • Has experience teaching PE at secondary level (ECTs are heavily encouraged to apply).
