Job Description:
We are seeking an energetic and committed PE Teacher to join a school's dynamic physical education department.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 3 students.
- Develop a well-rounded PE curriculum that includes a variety of sports and physical activities to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can participate and achieve their personal best.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports and fitness programs, fostering a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them develop their physical skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular themes and promote a holistic approach to health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior, and communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in physical education and integrate innovative teaching techniques and technology into the curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or license in Physical Education (QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching PE to Key Stage 3 students.
- Strong knowledge of PE curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- A passion for physical fitness and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
- Familiarity with a range of sports and activities, with the ability to teach and coach various sports.
- Proficiency in using technology and digital resources to enhance PE instruction.
