We’re working with a fantastic specialist secondary school in Durham that’s looking for a PE graduate to join their team as a Teaching Assistant. The school supports young people with additional needs, creating an environment where every student can succeed at their own pace.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs both in PE lessons and across the school day

  • Encouraging participation, confidence and positive routines

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils stay engaged and feel supported

  • Helping adapt PE activities and classroom tasks so all pupils can access learning

  • Using your strengths in motivation and relationship building to support emotional regulation

  • Being a steady, encouraging presence for pupils who rely on clear boundaries and consistency
