Protocol Education are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Worker to join a thriving SEND school in Sheffield.

The successful candidate must have experience of supporting students and young people in a wellbeing and safeguarding capacity.

Role:

As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will work alongside teachers to support students who may need support with their wellbeing, safeguarding and pastoral care. Many students at the school may have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, so you will be their point of contact should they display any distress or need any additional support.

The main purpose of the role is to provide pastoral care to, and support students for their mental and physical welfare, encouraging positive attitudes and behaviour around the school. Please see the applicant pack for more details.

You will work in close partnership with the Safeguarding Team who will support you with the planning and delivery of individual pathways for each student.

 

Requirements of Pastoral Support Officer:

Have pastoral experience of working with young people 

Be able to work closely with teachers and tutors

Use data to monitor and promote student progress

Experience of working with children in a school setting.

Experience of contributing to the development, monitoring and review of appropriate personalised pupil plans.
