We are recruiting a Pastoral Support Mentor to work within a secondary school in Sunderland. The role focuses on supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement with learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 pastoral support to pupils

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Monitor attendance, punctuality and wellbeing

  • Work closely with pastoral leads and families

  • Help pupils remain engaged in school life

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with young people is desirable

  • Calm, empathetic and resilient approach

  • Strong communication skills

  • Commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
