This Academy is looking for a friendly, reliable Catering Assistant to support our in-house catering team and help deliver great food and service to our students and staff every day.
This is a hands-on, rewarding role where no two days are quite the same, and where your work genuinely helps shape a positive school experience.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be right at the heart of the Academy’s catering service, supporting the preparation, serving, and presentation of food while keeping standards high and smiles even higher.
Your day-to-day will include:

Supporting the Catering Manager and Chef with food preparation and service

Making sure food hygiene, cleanliness, and portion control are always spot on

Recording food and storage temperatures in line with food safety standards

Keeping the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas clean, safe, and organised

Washing utensils and equipment and following the cleaning rota

Receiving, storing, and accounting for deliveries and stock

Serving students and staff, including operating tills

Helping deliver the Academy’s Magic Breakfast provision

Supporting themed food days and special events

Providing friendly, respectful customer service to everyone you meet
You’ll also play a wider role in Academy life by:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
