Your Role as an Outreach Tutor:

As an Outreach Tutor, your primary responsibility will be delivering personalized educational support to pupils requiring additional assistance. Concentrating on Maths and English, your duties involve establishing strong connections with students, understanding their individual needs, and implementing effective strategies to enhance their learning experiences. Collaboration with school staff, parents, and professionals is essential, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for the students' overall development and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each pupil's strengths, weaknesses, and learning requirements.
  • Design and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual educational goals.
  • Implement effective strategies and support plans to address learning difficulties or behavioral challenges.
  • Offer 1:1 assistance during activities, ensuring engagement and participation.
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and regularly communicate with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with school staff and SENCO to adapt teaching methods to suit pupils' diverse needs.
  • Encourage social integration and foster positive relationships among pupils.

Your Qualifications and Characteristics:

  • Hold QTS with experience in an SEN setting.
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of diverse learners' educational and emotional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Show flexibility, adaptability, and resilience when faced with challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
