We’re working with a friendly, inclusive primary school in Bristol who are looking for a calm, confident teacher to support a Reception child on a 1:1 basis after half term.
This role is all about building trust and consistency. You’ll be a steady presence in the classroom, helping one child feel safe, understood, and ready to engage with their learning. A nurturing approach, clear routines, and a good understanding of early years development will really shine here.
You’ll support early phonics, number foundations, and communication through playful, purposeful activities, adapting learning to suit the child’s individual needs while working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.

Experience we’re looking for:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have recent UK experience in EYFS or KS1, ideally with additional or SEND needs
- Be confident building strong, trusting relationships and creating a calm, reassuring learning environment
- Feel comfortable supporting early phonics, early maths, and play-based learning at a child’s pace
- Be flexible, patient, and keen to stay hands-on in the classroom while enjoying the variety supply offers
What We Need to Get You Cleared for Work:
- Passport
- Two proofs of address, such as driving licence, utility bill or council tax letter
- CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
- Two years of references, including SEN or childcare where applicable
- OSPC if you have lived overseas for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
