We’re looking for a nurturing, energetic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support an Early Years class in a lovely Barnsley primary school. You’ll join a close-knit EYFS team who believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, laughter, and learning through play.

 

Your day-to-day:

  • Support the class teacher with all areas of learning and care

  • Help children develop independence, language, and confidence

  • Lead small group or one-to-one activities tailored to each child’s needs

  • Contribute to a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued

  • Work closely with staff and parents to celebrate achievements and milestones

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience in an Early Years or Nursery setting (school or private nursery)

  • Hold a relevant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years preferred)

  • Have a calm, patient nature and genuine enthusiasm for early education

  • Are reliable, proactive, and love getting hands-on with creative play
